If you’re into a skate with very good lateral support, the One.8 has a nice stiff boot which is going to be responsive to your stride. Bauer uses a tech mesh quarter which is lightweight, durable and has very good cut resistant properties. The heel and ankle padding on the inside are nicely contoured to the shape of your foot, as is the nicely sculpted shape of the shell. This design plus the fact that these are heat moldable are going to get you a great fit right off the bat and drastically reduce break in time. The One.8 has a full composite outsole which reduces weight in the skate and it provides a nice rigid platform for the boot that is less likely to torque while you’re skating.
