Description
The black cage is unique among the colored cages because it has a similar effect as wearing eye black. Everything the player sees through the black cage appears brighter, giving a better range of vision.
The white color cage helps players see the puck better because the white cage contrasts the black puck on the white ice.
Many players prefer the silver cage because silver does not blend in with the ice or the puck. It also gives the player a flashy “dangle-cage” look.
